Barley & Birch Clothes - feel good (really good!) spending

BLUEFEET-O-Detail.jpg

It's not often that you see blue footed boobies on a shirt and, quite possibly, only kids could even get away with it... but I think this waddling bird onepiece is simply marvelous. Turns out though that it's actually so much more than that. In fact it's part of a whole line of witty and graphically grabbing apparel from Barley and Birch, an eco-company that's not only green, but totally carbon neutral! All clothes are made in the US using only organic materials and water-based inks. The company works with manufacturers and suppliers that are largely solar powered and is itself mostly paperless - that that is used is of course recycled. To top it off, 10% of profits go to socially and environmentally conscious charities. Geeeh, and to think that, at first, I just liked the clothes.
