Horizontal stripes maternity dress

Remember that classic advice to avoid horizontal stripes if you want to look thinner? Well, I guess the logic behind this Ivana Helsinki maternity dress is that, beyond a certain time in your pregnancy, nothing's going to make you look any thinner - so you may as well embrace it, and emphasise it.
I know this look won't be for everybody, but for the bold mums-to-be who aren't afraid to rock a graphic print (and pay a pretty steep price to do so, I have to say), here's your third-trimester look, sorted.

I like this dress, partly because it reminds me a lot of one I wore during my last pregnancy. I swore not to buy any maternity clothes because I'd ended up loathing all of the ones I got the first time I was pregnant. So I looked for anything stretchy and long enough to cover the growing belly! One of my favourites was a sweater dress from H & M in exactly these colours with a very similar stripe. The material even looks the same. It had 3/4 length sleeves and a v-neck though... and was obviously a real steal at $29.99! Worn with leggings and ballet flats, it made me feel just a little more stylish and comfortable than your average maternity top.
