Naef Schnurpfel Lacing Pony

Much of the time, my Babygadget finds come from personal searches for my own children. Most recent quest to promote greater fine motor dexterity: artful, creative lacing toys. My favorite is this graceful, wooden pony by the Swiss designers at Naef. It comes in three different lacquered finishes: red, green or blue, each with three distinct, cotton, lacing cords. That means that your child can spend hours creating all kinds of crazy manes and saddles and then, once finished, play with the horse itself. Heck, they might not even realize they're learning.
