Stone Islands for family gardens

organic-stone

I've never seen anything quite like these 'stone islands' from UK company Organic Stone, but could immediately see the appeal for those with a large family garden.

The prefabricated shapes, made from recycled granite - I particularly like the leaf form - create an immediate durable and practical space in a garden, while also acting as a design feature. For those whose gardens turn to a muddy mush in the wetter seasons, they'd be invaluable.

At Babygadget, we often hear of mums setting up their own businesses, but they usually deal with clothing or small baby accessories. Creating landscape features of this size and weight must be quite an engineering feat, so it was interesting to learn that this family design team consist of a mum and two daughters, the latter of whom have three kids themselves.
