Lin Osborn montages

Lin Osborn has a simple formula for her artwork: she takes multiple photographs on a theme, and arranges them in a grid.

It was her single-colour pieces that first caught my eye for Babygadget, but when I looked closely, I saw that they were, in fact, too adult in theme, and actually rather a dark commentary on consumerism: lots of junk food labels and the packaging of cheap supermarket toys.

Instead, it is her gentler pieces that lend themselves more to a child's walls. Whatever environment we live in, most of us wish to present a softer picture of the world to our growing children, and the dandelions (above), autumn theme (below), or her seashore montage fit the bill nicely.
