Extinct animals toys

josh-finkle.jpg

Josh Finkle is a young designer in 3D materials who recently put together this series of wooden toys, each depicting a recently-extinct animal. The packaging is printed with further information about its inhabitant.

Finkle's website is worth a visit, if only for the fascinating photographs showing the process of designing these creatures in their simplified forms, and how those forms are hewed from small blocks of wood. Sadly, I guess they are just a project/prototype, since there is no further information - but this is certainly the sort of toy we at Babygadget would love to see on the market.
