Handy Dad: all you need to know to be the Best Dad Ever

handy-dad

Dads! Ever watched in envy as a friend's child flies past in a go-cart her dad made? Or lost track as the other dads talk about drill bits and grades of timber?

No? Me neither - but that is largely because I move in geek circles where perhaps this kind of knowledge, if it even exists, tends not to be paraded in front of the other parents. But which of us hasn't at some time wished we were 'that' kind of parent; the kind that could whip up a zip-wire, or even hang a swing from a tree?

Now there's a book just for us: Handy Dad by TV presenter and 'extreme sports athlete' Todd Davis. And I don't think you have to be a dad to buy it - last I heard, mums could wield an electric saw as well as anyone.
