Koo: multi-purpose furniture

Design company Lunar make the very good point that the birth of a baby can often herald a tsunami of equipment - and the smaller your living quarters, the more difficult this can be.

Call in the multi-purpose furniture, Koo (above) being a case in point. With the sides up, it's a crib; one side down and it's a rocking chair for those night-time feeds. So far so clever, right?

It's a shame, though, isn't it, how often these great designs command premium prices. I mean, I understand that they have to: it doesn't come cheap to build a prototype. But who is most likely to need that extra space? Not-so-well-off parents, that's who.

But I digress: the Koo has not yet gone into production as far as I can ascertain, thus no price has yet been announced. Perhaps if enough people go to their Facebook page and enthuse, they'll have the confidence to release it at an affordable price.
