LegoTM footwear from Kickers

Kickers Lego-shoes

What I had previously seen of the LegoTM-inspired Kickers shoes project did not grab me. While I am a fan of both brands, I would go so far as to say that I was actually aesthetically repelled by the few boots I saw online.

I could see that the designers had fun working in subtle and not-so-subtle nods to the toy, from pieces as shoe buckles, to blown up pictures of Lego figures splashed right across the shoe.

What I did not realise is that the couple of designs I was aware of are but the tip of the iceberg. There are now, in fact, one hundred varieties, meaning there's something for everyone, from pink-loving princessy types to robust toddlers who want to put the name 'Kicker' thoroughly to test on the local playground equipment. Sizes range from baby to junior size 2.5 (UK sizing).

Above, I've picked out a few of my favourites, although I have to say, if there is no Lego-obsessed child in the equation, I'd always steer you towards the classic Kickers, as pictured below.

Also, I don't think I'd be doing my job properly if I didn't tell you that the Kickers boots for women are the bee's knees. Not a Lego piece in sight, either, which you may or may not be pleased about.
