Nice4Neez - a bit of extra padding just where it's needed

Nice4Neez

The knees do seem to come in for more than their fair share of scrapes, whether from crawling or falling off scooters, tripping over or climbing over rough walls. Given how prone they are to picking up grazes, it's amazing mother nature didn't give us a bit more padding in the area.

Well, thanks to a mum in Australia, now you can make up for nature's shortfall. Available in two sizes, "lolly legs" or"chubby legs" (aw), Nice4Neez cost AU$13.95 (approx US$ 15) and can be shipped internationally.

Little Nutty Helmets

nuttyh1.jpg

As the second child in today's economy, my poor daughter is always making do with hand-me-downs from my son. The result is that very little of her things are truly her own AND she is often mistaken for a boy. (Yes, despite great strides in feminism, most people still assume that a kid in anything other than pink must be a boy.) Therefore for her second birthday, I thought I'd spare my daughter some gender-identity issues, but still encourage her adventurous spirit (and sense of fashion) with this hip helmet from Nutcase. It's definitely girly, but still VERY cool. In fact, whether for boy or girl, all Nutcase's designs are so much more interesting than the usual, gender-stereotyped fare that they are bound to help foster any child's INDEPENDENT style. Hopefully now my daughter will be expressing her own girl power as she rides down the street of life...on my son's old, orange bike.
